Description (The direction towards Mecca (Qibla) is described as eastern and other directions are named accordingly)

A rectangular walled enclosure measuring about 20 x 28 metres, with the main building along the longer southern wall, and with a courtyard behind it (i.e., occupying the northern part of the lot) accessible through a gate in the eastern wall. The long main building with the front elevation facing S is built of well-dressed ashlar masonry. In the centre of the strictly regular main façade, the recessed portal is placed in a pishtaq. The rectangular recess is topped by four tiers of elaborate “stalactite” muqarnas. The lintel over the rectangular door is a flat arch of joggled voussoirs, with a segmental relieving arch also of joggled voussoirs. The lintel, the relieving arch, and a sunken decorative panel above them are framed in knotted mouldings. The portal is flanked by three windows on each side, placed in shallow recesses topped with muqarnas, and with lintels that are flat arches of joggled voussoirs framed with knotted mouldings. There are plain diamond-shaped square medallions between the windows. The wooden window shutters are decorated with simple mafruka patterns and the door leaves have rectangular mafruqa-based paneling. All façades are topped with fleur-de-lys crenellations.
In the back elevation, the rooms on each side of the gateway are accessed from verandas raised by six steps (i.e., about a metre) above the level of the courtyard. The span of the flat lintels under their roofs is reduced by chamfered square pillars. The interiors were inaccessible at the time of recording.
There is a small set of simple service rooms by the N wall, and in the farther end of the courtyard is a rectangular raised platform surrounded by a balustrade of pierced stone panels similar to those of the verandas.
The courtyard is accessible through a gate in the middle of its N wall, flanked by square stone pillars topped with simple blind crenellations and “pomegranate” bulbs. On the right-side pillar is a marble panel with an inscription within an arched recess stating that the funerary enclosure is of the family of Muhammad Bey Mustafa al-Maligi and gives the dates 1357 A.H. and A.D. 1938.
